Planning a trip to Banff? It’s essential to consider how to make the most of your time while also respecting the stunning environment. Here are a few tips to enhance your experience: 1. Book in Advance: Popular spots like Lake Louise get crowded quickly. Booking accommodations and activity spots ahead of time ensures you won’t miss out. 2. Visit During Off-Peak Hours: If you can, try to explore attractions early in the morning or later in the evening. This way, you’ll avoid the peak crowds. 3. Stay on Designated Trails: Protect the natural landscape and local wildlife by sticking to marked paths and respecting wildlife guidelines. 4. Consider Local Transportation: Utilize shuttles or public transport to reduce the number of vehicles on the road, making it easier for everyone to enjoy the beauty. Following these steps not only elevates your own experience but also contributes to the preservation of Banff’s breathtaking landscapes for future visitors. What tips do you have for keeping it sustainable while enjoying nature? Share your experiences! https://lnkd.in/gAcXq8qW

@griggs.outdoors shares with us, their 5 reasons to visit Kakadu during the Tropical Summer (wet season)👇🏼1. Waterfalls in full flow: The heavy rains fill up the rivers and waterfalls in Kakadu, making it an ideal time to witness the majestic waterfalls at their fullest and most spectacular. Go for a hike or pay for a scenic flight with @kakaduair !2. Lush, green landscapes: We were in love with how vibrant and green the vegetation in Kakadu was after all the rain! It is really a beautiful time of year there!3. So much wildlife: As soon as we drove in to the park there was wildlife everywhere! We saw crocs, buffalo, donkey, dingoes, lizards, snakes and SO many birds! The increased water levels create more habitats for fish, birds, and other wildlife, making it a great time for wildlife enthusiasts!4. Fewer crowds:The wet season is considered the low season for tourism in Kakadu, meaning fewer crowds and more opportunities to enjoy the park’s beauty in peace.5. Cost-effective travel: Due to it being the low season for tourism there is lower prices for accommodation, tours, and other expenses. This makes it a more budget-friendly time to visit the park. How to survive!!!🥵 make no mistake, although it’s beautiful, wet season is a HOT time of year to explore Kakadu!🏕️ We would advise against camping and book a nice air conditioned room at one of the many accommodation providers in the park. We stayed at @cooindalodgekakadu in a beautiful little glamping tent!💧 Drink and pack lots of water! Especially if doing hikes, you will be sweating ALOT so make sure you have plenty of water to stay hydrated.🗺️ Research before you go because a lot of places will be closed this time of year. Check out our last post to see where we went!🌧️ Don’t be put off by the forecast, most days even if there is rain forecast there ends up being heaps of sunshine! Just don’t go out if there is lightning! What do you think? Are you joining us for the next Tropical Summer? Give us:👍🏼 Yea👎🏼 Nah#ntlife #ntaustralia #topend #topendnt #dokakadu #kakadunationalpark

Imagine a glowing bay or body of water that looks like it's from a fairy tale. These breathtaking places are known as bioluminescent bays. Similar to fireflies, these waters are brought to life by a chemical reaction inside the cells of glowing plankton. The plankton uses the light to scare away predators, find food, and communicate with other organisms.Bioluminescent bays are incredibly rare, and there are only a few places in the world where you can find them. Discover Boating shared their favorite bioluminescent boating locations:- Laguna Grande, Puerto Rico- Mission Bay, San Diego- Mosquito Bay, Puerto Rico- Indian River Lagoon, Florida- Manialtepec Lagoon, Mexico

Branford, CT: A Sound Choice for your Business Headquarters:The Thimble Islands: Branford's Enchanting ArchipelagoThe Thimble Islands, a captivating archipelago nestled in the Long Island Sound off the coast of Branford, Connecticut, offer a picturesque blend of history, natural beauty, and recreational opportunities. Contrary to popular belief, their name doesn't refer to their size but rather to the thimbleberry bushes that once thrived on them. These idyllic islands have a rich history dating back centuries. They were once a refuge for Native Americans and a strategic location for fishing and trade. Tales of pirates, including the infamous Captain Kidd, further enrich the islands' past. In the late 19th century, the Thimbles became a summer playground for wealthy industrialists who constructed charming Victorian cottages, many of which still stand today. The archipelago's allure lies in its stunning natural beauty and the plethora of recreational opportunities it offers. Crystal-clear waters, rocky coastlines, and lush greenery create a serene and idyllic setting. Kayaking, boating, and fishing are popular activities for those seeking to explore the islands' aquatic wonders. Guided boat tours offer a unique perspective, allowing visitors to admire the charming cottages, learn about the islands' history, and perhaps even spot some local wildlife.Ownership of the Thimble Islands is primarily private, with many of the islands serving as secluded retreats for their owners. However, several islands are accessible to the public, allowing visitors to experience the magic of this special place. While the exact number of islands varies depending on the tide, there are well over a hundred, each with its own distinct character and charm. The Thimble Islands are a treasure trove waiting to be discovered.
